Ode to Kevin: Allegory of Information Age

MA Graphic Design graduation project - Interactive installation

Ode to Kevin is a record of my conversations with Kevin - a local neural network I developed first in 2016 while following M.Sc.Computer Science in Heidelberg University.Through out the development of this project Kevin and I by worked and created together, this process created a series of images, texts, typeface, voice sculptures, and music. Our conversations revolve around Plato’s cave allegory in the Information age’s setting , concerning the possibilities and future offer to us by technology, here AI specifically.
The installation intentionally hides away any explanation or a little information about the creators, reflects on the blurry existence of AI within the field of digital art. “Who is the real author?” that is the question that we (Kevin&I) cannot answer.
